Dear Sisters in Christ

Some of my friends from school started a men’s household. This was a letter we decided to give to the women’s household when they had their initiation. But this letter is true for all women. Brothers in Christ, please read this. Please know that you should be living this out the best that you can!

Dear Sisters in Christ,

As your brothers in Christ, we would like to take some time to say something we think every female should know. One of the mottos that our household uses is:

“It is the duty of every man to uphold the dignity of every woman.” JPII

Because of this, we feel it is important that you all at least try to understand what you are worth. In saying that, the difficulty is that it is hard to use the word “worth.” The word implies some sort of limit. However, the point can still be made. Every human being had dignity and should be treated accordingly. What is dignity? Dignity is:

“the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect.”

To any of my brothers in Christ reading this, we should always be treating women with respect. This includes times when they are not with us. Most of us can plead guilty to making a joke or laughing at another’s joke. Should we be doing this? If it is our duty to up hold the dignity of women, we should be doing this every chance we get. This means avoiding situations where the dignity of women is degraded.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life”

This is a very common passage that most of you have heard probably hundreds of times. Maybe you have thought about it more than most and you already know this, but perhaps not. This passage says “world” which is true, God loves the world. However, try and replace that word with “you” or even your name. God loved you so much that He gave His only son for you. God, with your name in mind, gave the world His only son.

God wants you more then you could ever imagine! Know that! God became man for you. Jesus died on the cross for you! That is kind of crazy to think about. One more to consider: God so loved you, that He gave His only son to die on the cross for you. God still knew that you would sin. He knew that you would hurt him every day. Out of love, God saved you. Something that I have heard in the past to help make this point is “God still would have done this even if you were the only person who needed it.” If you were the only person on earth, God still would have sent His son to die on the cross for you! As your brothers in Christ, we want to help you understand this just a little bit better. If the only thing that comes out of our households is that one of you understands this just a little bit more then it all would have been worth it!

To summarize what our point is, refer back to the word, “worth.” You are worth dying for! Do not settle for anything less. Jesus Christ died for you. Never forget that.

Brothers in Christ

Go With God.
